I agree with what you are saying and I am well aware that as much as I may wish for a society without labels or divides between people, no such thing can appear where they are already embedded within it through centuries of progressive social hierarchy where a certain divided group shall become dominant and as such filter that view down into the very fabric of the nation or nations that preside with that structure be they Patriarchal or matriarchal societies (though yes matriarchal societies are very rare in modern times) what I see though are societies out there that are small and isolated that have lived for thousands of years without the need for such labels where males, females, heterosexuals, homosexuals, cisgender and transgender are not treated differently as no difference is seen each and every person Is required for the good of the whole it is from these small societies that we larger one could learn, the problem being that we create labels even for them we call them uncivilised, thirdworld, uneducated, isolationist we give them a wrung of the ladder where they sit bellow us separate from us.
I am not an idiot who is blind to the facts but I cannot at the same time help but see the world through my eyes, my eyes see the world like this and my actions are in kind, I will not treat another as unequal to myself (that does not mean I shall be nice to them though if I dislike them it is for who they are not what they may be)
Though here I have ranted but this is the way I try to live my life and to my eyes it would create a simpler more tolerable world, the power of thought is not a new concept many have spoke of it/ preached of it but this sums up my thoughts quite nicely “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. Without our thoughts we make our world.”
People are unequal to you. How is it so tediously complicated? People are materially unequal to you, this is a fact. Not an abstract suggestion about will and intent.
It’s all very well and good to talk about how other cultures have different perceptions of gender and sexuality but unfortunately western imperialism has sort of done a shit all over that for vast swathes of the global population.
The question isn’t whether or not you treat people as being equal or unequal to you because any blind ass can see ephemeral showboating on the issue means precisely jack shit. The question is what do you plan to do about it. If you are personally accepting people for you they are then fucking brilliant but unfortunately that isn’t changing the world while you sit behind your computer screen masturbating with self-righteous joy at how positively not-a-douche you are to the really minimal number of people you’re going to meet in your life.
